Using POP3 or IMAP with TLS/SSL

Secure email collection and transmission can be acheived by using POP3 or IMAP with TLS/SSL.

We have enforced the use of POP3 or IMAP over TLS/SSL between your device and our server, since these protocols provide increased security for you.

The collection and transmission of your emails between your local machine or device and our mail server will be protected using our TLS/SSL certificate. We use a high grade TLS/SSL certificate with an encryption key size of 2048 bits to protect your communication and privacy.

To use this service you will need to use the same Username and Password to access your email accounts but you will need to ensure that your device is set to use TLS/SSL.

The details can be found by logging in to your cPanel account and under the section called "EMAIL", click on the icon named "Email Accounts". This will now show all of the email accounts associated with your domains.

For the details of the account, click on "Setup Mail Client" for the respective email address.

Here you will find some Auto Configuration Scripts for popular email clients or the Manual Settings to be applied to use Secure SSL for your emails.

Typically these will be:

Incoming
Server: mail.yourownwebsitedomain.co.uk
IMAP: Port 993
POP3: Port 995

Outgoing
Server: mail.yourownwebsitedomain.co.uk
SMTP: Port 465
