Back in June 2014 the UK domain name space was enhanced by the release of .uk domain names, which became available for the first time alongside .co.uk, .me.uk and .org.uk domain names.
To protect your existing name space or brand, if you registered a domain within the *.uk domain family before 28th October 2013 then your .uk domain was automatically reserved for you.
These eligible domains will be reserved until 25 June 2019 as long as the original domain remains registered. At that point they will be available for general sale.
If you do not qualify, any unique .uk domain name that has not been reserved is available to register a new domain name in the normal way.
